Weber Go Anywhere is able to deliver 6500 BTU per hour. This is not as powerful as other barbecue stove but it can save on the cost of fuel and it can cooks evenly and hadnlde up 4 steaks just fine. The grill is stainless steel, it has-heat resistant handles and stainless steel legs.
It comes with Weber’s porcelain-enameled ‘Flavorizer’ bars, their own take on making a cooking surface that offers a more even cook. The unit has a tuck away lid, which acts as a wind guard that can be swing behind the grill when you are cooking.
The pros about Go Anywhere are that it is lightweight and portable. It has durable porcelain coated construction, heats up and ready to use quickly and the best is the flavorizer bar that gives a good even cook. However the cons are the legs can bend if put under pressure, not enough cooking space for large groups and the cooking grate makes cleaning more difficult.
Weber Q1000 vs Go Anywhere
Weber Q1000 and the Go Anywhere is both the compact and portable grill that is easy to bring around. Looking at the details, the Q1000 has a wider cooking grate than Go Anywhere since the Q1000 use 2 cooking grates at once and it can be separated, making it more convenient for the users while the latter is not.
The Q1000 can also serve more people than Go Anywhere which can only serve up to 4 people. There are some feedbacks that say the Go Anywhere can lasts for years with the right maintenance. Size wise the Go Anywhere is much smaller and also lighter. Overall, the winner comes down to Weber Q1000 since the only downside is the 8500 BTU.
